Using the wrong version of the reset program can corrupt the printer’s EEPROM. This turns your printer into an expensive paperweight. Unlike official service centers, a bricked printer from a bad reset is not recoverable.

The reset program only clears the counter . It does not replace or clean the physical waste ink pad. If you reset the counter without changing the pad, ink will eventually leak inside your printer, causing motherboard shorts, paper jams, and permanent hardware failure.
